Scot & I had a lot of fun at the Concerts at the Grove at CSULB and I had a couple requests for the recipes of the food I brought. So here are the recipe cards for anyone that wants them. I've been making a lot of recipe cards lately and am eventually going to put them in some kind of book form. Haven't quite decided yet how, but that's my long-term plan. On my way home from work today, I stopped at the market and found the first batch of good peaches this summer ~ they smelled so good and I made this card in anticipation of eating them in a variety of ways! Hope you like it!

Baked Potato Soup

Well I haven't posted anything to my blog in such a long time. I have been doing well at work. We're getting down to the end of the school year and the end of my first year in my new job. I have to say that it's been good and I really like it. Say a little prayer for our school district and every other one in the state that California gets its act together and stops cutting school district budgets. It's thanks to the parents and staff of our district that Los Al is so outstanding. Anyway, enough of my soapbox ~ my new favorite thing is making recipe cards and this is the one I did today. To honor American Veterans

I made this layout featuring my father-in-law in honor of all of America's veterans. Isn't this an amazing photo (thanks to my scanner) to scrap! The journaling is by author Joanna Fuchs and reads as follows:

When you see someone in uniform

Someone who serves us all,
